Calling all game developers!
So you have an idea for a video game… What are you supposed to do next? Usually, your best bet is trying to consolidate, streamline, and elaborate on all those concepts swimming around in your head. The best way to do this is by putting together what’s called a Game Design Document (GDD).
A GDD can be as simple as a single page of text explaining the high-level features, mechanics, themes, and narrative(s) of your game. It can also be dozens of pages long and describe in incredible detail every single aspect of your game, from the layouts of its levels, the behaviors of its enemies, and whatever massive, complex game loop you have in mind.
I’m here to help you with that. I’m an accomplished writer and game designer who loves to help would-be designers realize their dreams. You can check out the mobile game I shipped recently, Red’s Journey, on Android or iOS devices. As to my additional bonafides, I am currently enrolled in the Game Design Master’s Program at DePaul University in Chicago. That means that I can bring the latest and greatest thinking in the world of games directly to your project.
